“Ci troviamo in un momento di grande opportunità”, afferma Afsheen Nasr, nuovo Managing Partner dello studio.
Nasr assume il ruolo di Managing Partner, dopo un periodo di 11 anni sotto la precedente leadership, che ha coronato una carriera di 35 anni nello studio. “È emozionante! Abbiamo una base molto solida, ma questo è davvero un rinnovamento. Un nuovo inizio”.”
Nasr’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, following a decade of expansion that saw RFB establish a presence in Manchester e Exeter.
“We build upon a strong legacy, and now, we are poised to accelerate our growth and innovation. This is about harnessing our 78 years of expertise and propelling RFB into a dynamic future. We’ve laid a solid foundation, and now, it’s time to build upon it with a renewed focus and strategic vision.”
“We’re building on something that’s already strong, but with a fresh perspective. I have a lot of new ideas. And I feel really supported by this incredible partnership.”
Nasr initially worked for RFB in London, before family commitments meant a return to the North. Having mooted the idea of a Manchester office, she was delighted to head up the new offering when it opened in 2016.
Nasr remains located in Manchester, though travelling frequently to London. Her appointment reflects the RFB ethos of recognising talent, rather than limitations. It also reinforces the idea of one firm, rather than a London team with satellite offices.
“When we were making the decision as to who would take over, it was about who was the best person for the job and not letting posizione hinder that.”
Nasr’s appointment also reflects RFB’s commitment to nurturing the broadest range of talent and reflecting the diversity of its client base.
“I am very aware that I’m representing a minority. When the announcement was made to the firm, I received some really nice emails, colleagues saying they’re so happy that I’m continuing to reflect the firms forward looking approach. I feel incredibly proud to be part of such a diverse business.”
Having taken on larger premises to accommodate its growing Manchester team, Nasr’s plans include a move to combine the London offices. She is also looking to build on RFB’s established strength in property with expanded offerings in real estate finanza and construction, while increasing non-property work.
“Siamo sempre stati dinamici. Non abbiamo mai dato per scontato il rapporto che abbiamo costruito con il nostro personale o con i nostri clienti. Siamo sempre consapevoli della necessità di continuare ad adattarci alle mutevoli esigenze dei nostri clienti.
My vision is to drive RFB’s growth through strategic innovation, ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our clients. This means not just expanding our reach, but deepening our expertise and enhancing the client experience. It’s about adding value. We volontà attract and empower business-minded individuals who share our commitment to excellence and who are eager to contribute to RFB’s next phase of success. By fostering a culture of innovation and a deep commitment to our clients, we will not only elevate our firm but also empower our clients to achieve their ambitions.”
Afsheen Nasr’s appointment is more than a change in leadership; it’s a powerful reflection of RFB’s commitment to diversity and forward-thinking principles. As she articulated, this is about recognising talent and fostering a culture where everyone can thrive. Her vision for the firm’s future is as inclusive as her leadership, ensuring RFB remains a dynamic and relevant force in the legal landscape.
