Billy Smith

Billy Smith is a Partner at Ronald Fletcher Baker LLP, based in the firm’s West End Office on Baker Street, London. Billy specialises in both property and commercial litigation, with extensive experience across the High Court, County Court and Property Tribunals. Billy acts at trial and at interim stages, including urgent applications and is a competent and confident advocate. Billy advises on various contentious property disputes in particular cohabitee / ownership disputes, construction disputes and boundary disputes. Billy also has considerable experience and expertise in both residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes and has established a significant following across the Essex and Greater London area.

Billy regularly advises on residential evictions at all stages and regularly attends possession hearings. In the commercial sphere, Billy has advised commercial landlords and tenants on breaches of covenant, forfeiture disputes, lease renewals and dilapidations claims. Beyond property disputes, Billy acts in a broad range of commercial litigation, including shareholder and partnership disputes, contractual claims, debt recovery and insolvency matters generally, and negligence-related disputes. Billy also undertakes high value contentious probate work.

Billy has significant experience advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries in will disputes, Inheritance Act claims and issues arising from the administration of estates and trusts generally. Billy also practises employment law for businesses and for individuals and has extensive experience drafting contracts, advising on disciplinary and grievance procedures, advising on redundancy and pursuing and/or defending Employment Tribunal claims in their entirety.

Outside of work, Billy enjoys spending time and holidaying with his family. Billy also continues to play football and is a long-suffering supporter of West Ham United.
