Mike Wood is a solicitor in the Real Estate Finance team at Ronald Fletcher Baker LLP, based in the firm’s Holborn office.

Mike specialises in real estate finance, advising specialist and bridging lenders, challenger banks, private equity funds, real estate investors and family offices on a broad range of secured lending transactions. His practice spans short-term bridging and auction finance, investment property acquisitions and refinancing, portfolio finance and development finance, involving residential, commercial and mixed-use property.

His experience spans a range of sectors and transactions, including high-value portfolio refinancing, hotel acquisition finance, student accommodation, commercial estates and investment property. Having acted for both lenders and borrowers, Mike understands the priorities and commercial considerations on each side of a transaction. This enables him to identify potential issues early, provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice, and work collaboratively with all parties to find solutions that allow transactions to progress efficiently.

He has worked on transactions involving complex corporate restructurings, international investment structures and substantial property portfolios, and has experience using technology to improve legal processes and transaction management.
