Mariya Thomas

Mariya Thomas is a Senior Associate Solicitor based in the Richmond Office specialising in all aspects of residential conveyancing including sale and purchase and refinance of high values freehold and leasehold properties. Mariya joined RFB Legal in January 2026 and has over 10 years of property experience.

Originally from Ukraine, Mariya moved to the UK 25 years ago. Before relocating, she graduated from Kyiv International University with a degree in International Law. She later trained and qualified at a top 100 law firm, having completed an LLB at the University of London, Birkbeck and the LPC at The College of Law (Moorgate).

Since qualifying, Mariya has worked in Central London, advising on all aspects of residential property transactions for a broad range of clients—from high-net-worth individuals, investment purchasers and corporate clients to first-time buyers. Mariya is known for a meticulous and personable approach, delivering consistently high standards of client care from start to finish.

She is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.

In her spare time, Mariya enjoys dining out, travelling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She also likes attending music concerts, the cinema and the theatre—and, when time allows, a good Netflix binge.
