Zyginta is an Associate Solicitor at Ronald Fletcher Baker LLP, specialising in both contentious and non-contentious Private Client matters. 

Zyginta qualified as a solicitor in September 2020 and joined the Private Client Team in the City Office in December 2021. Before joining Ronald Fletcher Baker LLP, Zyginta worked at a niche private client law firm in North London.  

Since joining the firm, Zyginta has acted for clients in creating and advising on wills and trusts, the termination of trusts and the tax consequences. She has also dealt with the administration of a variety of estates including taxable estates where she has needed to advise on the available reliefs. She has worked on estates containing foreign assets and where the deceased was non-UK domiciled and has applied for grants to be resealed under the Colonial Probates Act 1892. In addition, Zyginta has assisted with various contentious probate matters including the validity of wills, claims under the Inheritance Act 1975 and circumstances in which removal of executors may be necessary.

Zyginta graduated from University of Hertfordshire in 2015 before completing the LPC at BPP Law School in 2017.

She is an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a member of the Contentious Trusts Association.

Outside of her professional life, Zyginta enjoys attending baby classes with her daughter and going to SPA. 

Zyginta is fluent in Lithuanian. 

Recent Experience

  • Dealing with a complex estate that involved assets held in trust, specific gifts, exempt and non-exempt residuary beneficiaries, applying for a reduced rate of inheritance tax and liaising with HMRC to agree calculations.  
  • Varying an estate to redirect the beneficiary’s interest in the UK properties to a UK company which minimised SDLT exposure to £0.
  • Preparing s.50 application to remove professional executors and trustees. 
  • Advising on capital gains tax on properties and claiming a probate relief.  
  • Successfully applying to rectify a Will out of time under Section 20(1)(a) of the Administration of Justice Act 1982.
