Katharine is an Associate specialising in both non-contentious and contentious Private Client matters.
After completing her training at a firm in South West London, Katharine joined Ronald Fletcher Baker on qualification in January 2022. As an undergraduate, Katharine read Classical Studies at Royal Holloway University before completing the GDL and LPC at the University of Law.
Katharine is experienced in dealing with the administration of estates involving issues of domicile, intestacy, cross-border estates, post-death variations and including trust assets. She advises clients through what can be a particularly daunting process and works to make the administration as smooth as possible. She keeps her clients well informed and seeks to provide them with realistic expectations.
Katharine has acted on a number of contentious probate matters including the removal of executors, claims under the Inheritance (Provision of Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and claims in relation to the validity of Wills.
In addition Katharine’s regular practice includes drafting and advising on Wills and declarations of trust, the creation and management of trusts, estate planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship and general tax advice.
