John joined RFB as a partner in October 2025 as head of Corporate and Commercial team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John is an experienced corporate\/commercial lawyer, offering practical, proactive and cost effective advice to businesses of all types. His principal areas of work as a corporate lawyer include advising clients on buying and selling their businesses, business start-ups, fund raising, corporate structure and general corporate advisory work. He has undertaken M&A work for a variety of businesses and individuals, ranging from listed companies to smaller owner-managed businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has particular expertise in advising business owners in the healthcare, children\u2019s nurseries, financial services, estate agency, manufacturing, logistics, facilities management, pharmaceutical and motor trade sectors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to undertaking corporate work, John is experienced in drafting commercial agreements, including shareholder agreements, articles of association, partnership and LLP agreements and joint venture agreements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prior to joining RFB, John held the position of Head of London for a top 60 law firm. The extensive management experience he gained in this role gave him a unique understanding of the practical, as well as the legal, issues and challenges faced by business owners<\/p>\n\n\n\n
John lives, and was educated, in Surrey and studied at the London School of Economics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is a keen golfer, and enjoys going to the gym and watching his son’s Sunday football team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
