Geoffrey is a Senior Associate Solicitor in RFB’s Corporate & Commercial team, based in the London, Old Street and Baker Street offices.

For many years Geoffrey practised solely in property, dealing with residential and commercial acquisitions and sales, as well as portfolio management, refinancing and lease extensions. Regularly acting for individuals and companies alike, he is well versed to understand the property aspects of share and asset purchases and can understand its value to the true value of any underlying corporate transaction. Geoffrey has also worked for various City law firms, for local authorities and in-house for a major London property investor and trader, so experienced and versatile in understanding both public and private enterprise.  

Areas of Specialism

Corporate and commercial acquisitions and sales with a property focus, joint ventures, support on company commercial contract negotiations, and the sale and purchase of property SPVs with real estate finance transactions. Geoffrey’s range of commercial practice also consists of advising clients on a range of commercial agreements, including shareholder agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and joint venture agreements.

Expertise & Experience

  • Acting as sole legal adviser for a TikTok viral beauty brand (Byellie) in their first lettings and onboarding and execution of their logistics and warehousing contracts with a Netlog Logistics Group company.
  • Acting for the Smileshines dental practice with their refinancing and purchase and integration of the Willows Dental Practice, Aylesford into the Smileshines brand.
  • Member of an in-house legal team delivering a £240 million refinance with the Lloyds Banking Group for a Sunday Times Rich List entrepreneur.
  • Supporting role for the sale of various ship building business
  • Acting as a key adviser on the stock imaging (Getty Images) and property considerations for a landlord client in the aftermath of the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Heist of April 2015.
  • Geoff has previously acted for the likes of Aviva Investors, Henry Boot Developments, Hertz and the RugbySchool in addition to boutique property companies, and institutional investors. He has also worked in-housemanaging all the legal issues for one of the UK’s leading property investors (David Pearl and The Structadene Group).
