Bij gezamenlijk eigendom hebben de eigenaren geen afzonderlijke aandelen en gaat het onroerend goed automatisch over op de langstlevende.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--20)\">Als de kopers ongelijk bijdragen aan de aankoopprijs, de hypotheekaflossingen of de kosten van renovaties, en men wenst dat dit bij de uiteindelijke verkoop van het onroerend goed in aanmerking wordt genomen, dan moet het onroerend goed in onverdeelde mede-eigendom worden gehouden. Elke eigenaar zou dan een afzonderlijk aandeel in het onroerend goed bezitten. Het is ook raadzaam om een trustverklaring op te stellen.
