Deniz has been a longstanding Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 rankings. The latest 2019 edition describes him as ‘personable and reassuring’; previous editions of the guide also single out him as \u2018excellent\u2019, \u2018sure-footed\u2019, \u2018extremely competent\u2019<\/em> and experienced in \u2018high-value, complex cross-border disputes\u2019<\/em>; he has advised on ‘a number of high-profile cases’<\/em> including ‘complex bank fraud work’<\/em>. Deniz initially cut his teeth on matters of serious crime, extradition and business crime. His work for business clients in the fields of regulatory law has seen significant victories in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deniz acts for international businesses, banks and other law firms. He is involved in company formations both in the UK and abroad. At the forefront of his advice is his experience in regulatory and financial compliance. In recent years he has introduced and overseen matters involving multi-jurisdictional infringement of copyright and trade mark as well as substantial commercial contractual disputes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deniz has long been involved internationally with legal work originating in Turkey and has extensive connections with leading businesses there. He is now leading the development of the firm\u2019s Istanbul office which has been set up to service Turkish businesses with their domestic and international work in this fast moving emerging market. Deniz\u2019s other work includes a seat on the Management Committee of Hackney Law Centre and service as a Labour Councillor in the London Borough of Hackney. He is a member of\u00a0Amnesty International<\/a>, and a\u00a0Lawyer for Liberty<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
