25th to 29th November 2013 is National Family Dispute Resolution Week. This is the second year running that Resolution has run a national awareness raising week to highlight the alternatives to court for separating and divorcing couples. http://www.nationalfamilydrweek.org.uk/.
Dispute Resolution includes a number of settlement-seeking processes including mediation, negotiation, conciliation, collaborative law and arbitration. These are alternative processes to court proceedings.
In our experience there can be many benefits to avoiding litigation in the appropriate case. There can be significant costs savings and a resolution can often be reached much more quickly. In wider terms, there can be significant benefits to both parties and most importantly your children in resolving issues in a non-contentious way. More than ever before, our experience of the family courts is that they are currently over-loaded with cases, increasing delays.
Our family department is committed to alternative dispute resolution where appropriate. We are therefore supporting and promoting National Dispute Resolution week by offering free 30 minute consultations between 25th to 29th November 2013 to talk about Lawyer-Supported Mediation - a new service featuring fixed fee legal advice tailored to your income and circumstances.
To arrange your free consultation please contact the Head of the Family Department, Rachel Duke at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 020 7613 7119.
